Abstract. Important part of project planning is the creation of plan and its monitoring. However, activities planned for the completion of the project often take longer than was expected. There are several approaches for development of software projects and each uses different way of planning. Customer requirements for the software projects frequently change and so does the project plan even during its formation. Planning Manager must be able to respond to emerging changes in customer requirements or problems in implementation of the plan. The key thing is to visualize the plan but each approach for development offers different techniques. Since we do not know a way how to create perfect plan, there can be no perfect technique either. But we can combine the advantages of several techniques together. In the essay, we discuss combination of existing techniques for plan visualization in a traditional and agile approach.

Abstract. Different methods for planning schedules are nowadays used not only in schools, but also in various companies or personal lives. It also plays a large role in software projects for both individuals and teams of people. Everyone tries to do their best to plan the project well, although the extent to which the project is well planned is hardly measurable. Custom software is created for many years and created several advices which managers should keep in mind during planning, so that their project will not fail. The scrum methodology as one of the agile software development methods, strives to provide solutions to improve and clarify the planning of software projects. After a few years of experience with this methodology, there are tips on how to improve such a little planning. It is important, however, to pay attention and try to follow these tips. This is especially important for inexperienced students, who for the first time face teamwork in the team project subject to our faculty.

However SCRUM is actively used and offers the possibility to create a product that is based on customer´s concept, but what factor do the experiences of team members play in the planning in SCRUM? What level of experience must the planning manager have? Many other questions come to mind, when you think about the title, if the planning in SCRUM is so good for the planning manager. One of the major factors that affect several stages, not only the planning, is an experience, whether it is an experience of the team, team members or the planning manager.

Abstract. Planning is one of the main components of development in any software product. We know different development models, which have its specifics. I’m interested in planning in Scrum methodology. My concerns belong to suitability of deployment in smaller and bigger software products. The highest importance is given to practical experience and usability in project planning. To cover complete area of Scrum, I based my opinion on practical and expert experience of people from business. I have also practical experience from middle size company which I’m going to share. Using Scrum in team project I consider as next area which deserves to discuss in adequate range.

Abstract. By the software development, especially large projects, planning should play a key role in the distribution of tasks. This area is evolving much faster than other sectors and the development brings with it many pitfalls. This progress must adapt the methods used in planning. But already in the plan developing, we can continuously check, if the plan goes to the wrong direction. Even before its execution is necessary to realize serious errors that could arise in planning. These are easily detected in the bud and thus later to eliminate or minimize their impact. There is a number of detectable errors. Some are serious and can threaten the project, others not. But they still can the project largely undermined.
