The organizational structure of the faculty is based on the activities performed in accordance with the mission of the faculty and Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended.
Organizational units are established in accordance with the mission of FIIT, meeting the needs to ensure the required activities and the efficiency of utilizing the human and material resources of STU.

The organizational structure of FIIT is based on the faculty's mission and its tasks in the field of education and research activities. The organizational structure reflects the need to optimize management and administrative processes with the maximum use of information and communication technologies. It also takes into account the necessary implementation of a quality assurance system for all activities resulting from the faculty's mission.
The basic organizational unit of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies in the field of education and research is the institute. The institute organizationally ensures educational, research, and other activities within its professional specialization, in accordance with the faculty's mission. Each institute is responsible for a degree program, or potentially multiple degree programs, in which the faculty provides education.
