- The scientific part of doctoral studies consists of individual or team scientific work of the doctoral student focused on the topic of the doctoral thesis.
- The scientific part consists of dissertation projects and independent creative activity in the field of science.
- The scientific part of the doctoral studies is professionally supervised by the supervisor.
For successful completion of the scientific part of the doctoral studies, the doctoral student must obtain:
- at least 100 credits for doctoral study programs in which 180 credits are a condition for the proper completion of studies,
- at least 160 credits for doctoral study programs in which 240 credits is a condition for the proper completion of studies.
- The scientific part of the doctoral studies includes the dissertation examination and the elaboration and defence of the dissertation.
- For successful completion of the dissertation examination, the doctoral student will receive 20 credits.
- The doctoral candidate will receive 30 credits for the completion and successful defence of the doctoral thesis.
- In the case of a doctoral candidate who is registered for a dissertation topic written by an external educational institution, he/she shall carry out the scientific part of the doctoral studies at that external educational institution.
