Administrative structure of the faculty comes out from activities practised to the intent of mission and in Act No. 131/2002 of Law Code on Higher Education.
The organizational structure of FIIT is based on the mission of the Faculty and its tasks in the field of education and scientific research. The organisational structure takes into account the need to optimise management and administrative processes with maximum use of information and communication technologies. It also takes into account the necessary need to implement a quality assurance system for all activities resulting from the mission of the Faculty.
The basic organisational unit of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology in the field of education and research is the Institute. The Institute organises educational, scientific research and other activities in the field of its specialisation in accordance with the mission of the Faculty. Each institute is responsible for a study programme or several study programmes in which the faculty provides education.
