The Faculty of Informatics and Information Technology has accredited the following study programs (within the meaning of Act No.131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts, as later amended) - information on accreditation is available on the website of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic in the Register of Study Programs (select Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava).
It also has accredited programs by the British Council for Engineering – British Engineering Council UK (IET Accreditation Committee). The IET Certificate of Completion of an accredited degree program can only be obtained by first-time graduates who have passed the national examination2.

1 The 3-year second degree is designed for those students who have completed a first degree in a more distant field of study. The program of study specifies the subjects to be studied in the second and third part of the course of study in the same way as the program of study in the relevant field of study, with a standard length of 2 years. In the first part of the study (nominally 1 year), the student acquires knowledge, depending on his/her level at the time of admission, so as to reach the general level of readiness of a graduate of a bachelor's degree in this field or in a related field to continue his/her studies according to the relevant master program.
2 The internationally active Institution of Electrical Engineers, based in London, has accredited the Computer Science degree for students entering the 1997/98 academic year as follows:
- B.Sc. is at the level of the British BEng
- Ing. degree, after obtaining the degree of Bc. degree in the same field at STU in Bratislava, is at the level of the British MEng.
