- If the applicant graduated from a Slovak secondary school, he/she delivers only a notarized copy of their diploma. - Proof of English knowledge/Certificate/Proof of English proficiency level a certificate of the level of knowledge of the English language (unless the language of instruction in their previous studies - secondary school or first-degree university studies - was English) – MUST BE DELIVERED IN PAPER FORM until the day of enrolment to study.
- A copy of an identity document (ID card or passport) - in the case of foreign applicants, a copy of a passport valid for at least six months from the time of enrolment.
- Transcript of completed courses and grades obtained during the entire previous university study confirmed by the faculty or university that issued the certificate.
- Applicants from Ukraine, who do not deliver the Nostrification must deliver:
- notarized copy of their diploma officially translated into Slovak or English
- a recognition decision to be issued by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic or Regional Office or Clause on the recognition of a foreign education degree1
- matriculation certificate in Slovak language
An applicant who will be submitting the Clause must also verify their diploma through the Register of Educational Documents, which can be found at https://info.edbo.gov.ua/edu-documents/ . They must generate an extract from the register with certified electronic signature CES (КЕП - кваліфікованим електронним підписом) and get it sent to their email address, and then upload it until the date of enrollment to the electronic application in the designated section: Document certifying graduation from a previous level of study (Bachelor’s degree diploma or equivalent). 1Pursuant to Section 39a of Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of documents, it is possible to deliver a "Clause on the recognition of a foreign education degree" instead of nostrification. The clause pursuant to paragraph 2 shall be deemed to be a decision on the recognition of a document of education pursuant to Section 39(9) for the purpose of continuing studies or for the purpose of assessing the degree of education attained pursuant to Section 60, if it is accompanied by the document of education to which the clause is issued. Applicants or graduates of secondary and university institutions abroad can generate the endorsement via: Recognition clause > Recognition clause > Entering the country where the education document was issued. All available secondary and university degrees that exist in that country will then be displayed. ATTENTION, not all applicants have this option. Conditions of admission to master´s studies
The basic condition for admission to master studies is the successful completion of a study program of the first level (Section 56 (3) of the Act).
The faculty accepts applicants for the 2-year study program who successfully pass the entrance exam and interview.
The admission is decided by the admissions committee in accordance with the Further conditions of admission to joint master study program taught in English at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics Technical University of Košice for the academic year 2026/2027 - Further_conditions_of_admission_to_Master Study in English

Admission procedure
The admission procedure begins with the submission of an application for the relevant master's degree program.
The results of the applicants will be evaluated by the Admissions Committee.
The results of the admission procedure will be published in the Academic Information System (AIS) at the latest one week after the decision of the admissions committee.
The decision on whether or not to accept the applicant, together with the reasons, will be delivered to the applicant in writing to the contact address provided in the application form.
The admission procedure will be closed for the applicant with the issue of the admission decision.
Evaluation of the admission procedure
Applicants are admitted on the basis of the entrance interview.
The selectiom of applicants will based on:- a ranking compiled on the basis of scores,
- demonstration of skills and prerequisites for studying the chosen program of study,
- the number of applicants that the faculty plans to admit to study the relevant program of study.
Entrance exam
The entrance exam will consist of an online interview in front of a committee panel.
