The aim of the bachelor project is to learn methods and procedures for solving relatively large projects, to demonstrate the ability to independently and creatively solve complex tasks in accordance with current methods and procedures used in the relevant field, and thus to demonstrate readiness for application in practice. The supervisor and, where appropriate, the pedagogical supervisor are methodologically involved in its preparation.
The bachelor's project is divided into two courses:
- Bachelor's Project I and
- Bachelor's Project II
If a student decides to take the courses in parallel, he/she must register for both courses in the winter semester by 30 September of the relevant academic year at the latest. The student will prepare and submit the final bachelor's project (final report on the project) by the specified deadline. He/she defends this bachelor's thesis during the winter semester examination period at the state examination. If the student fails to defend the project at the state examination, he/she will receive a grade of "unsatisfactory" for both subjects. The student may withdraw from the Bachelor's Project II subject by 31 October at the latest.
If the student decides to complete the subjects sequentially, he/she will prepare and submit the bachelor's project in two phases within the set deadline: an interim report on the project (in the winter semester) and a final report on the project (bachelor's project in the summer semester).
If a group of students is working on one or similar tasks, each student must work independently and submit a separate project that is the result of his/her individual work. Each student has a separate assignment.
Follow the rules of academic ethics and correctly identify and cite the information sources used (bibliographic references and citations in Slovak) when dealing with your thesis project.
