Enrolment information for admitted applicants to the first year
Bachelor studies
Important information you need to know before the start of the academic year.
Return form
A return form (Instructions for completing the return form for binding confirmation in Slovak) of your interest in studying at our faculty has been sent to your mails. Completing it in full by 12 July 2024 is a condition for successful enrolment. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found directly in the AIS.
Enrolment
- Enrolment of applicants who have Slovak citizenship or citizenship of a country within the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland will run until 12 July 2024 without physical presence.

The following must be received by post by the date of enrolment:
- a certified copy of your school leaving certificate in paper form (if you have not already done so),
- a completed and signed "Consent to enrolment without physical presence" form, which was enclosed in the mail,
- use the reply envelope, which is also included in this letter, to send the documents. It is not necessary to affix a stamp to the envelope, as the faculty will pay the postage for you.
- Enrolment for third-country applicants will be by attendance on 9 September 2024 at 9.00 a.m., at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Department of Studies. Applicants cannot be enrolled by proxy; they must appear in person for enrolment.

On the day of enrolment you need to bring:
- a certified copy of the nostrification and official translation of your high school diploma (if you have not already done so),
- your passport to verify your identity,
- proof of a residence permit for foreigners, if you have already been issued one.
Start of classes
Classes start on 10 September 2024 (Tuesday) at 8.00 am. "Introduction to Study". Attendance at the introduction to studies is compulsory and any absence must be duly excused in accordance with the study regulations.

Seminar in mathematics
Student ID card
Every FIIT student is required to have a student ID card. Order, pay and insert your photo vykonajte cez „Návratku“. via the "Return Form". You will pick up your ID card at the study department in September.
Confirmation of school attendance
We will issue you a certificate of attendance at the study department from 2 September 2024.
Accommodation
If you do not have permanent residence in the Bratislava region, you can apply for accommodation in a student house. The application must be submitted by 25 July 2024, electronically, via: https://ubytovanie.stuba.sk/new/.
Only enrolled students can be approved to apply. This is done strictly according to a waiting list, which is based on the scores obtained in the admissions process. Distance from the place of residence is not taken into account.
Once your application has been approved, you must book your room do 5 dní, within 5 days, otherwise the booking system will automatically cancel your accommodation.
Make your payment by bank transfer within the due date, quoting the correct variable symbol.
If you have previously been enrolled in the same level of university study at a university in the Slovak Republic, we will only allocate accommodation to you if there is a vacancy (STU Criteria, Article 2, point 7).
If you are under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment, submit a completed and certified Informed Consent of Legal Representative form to the relevant student house at the time of enrolment: https://ubytovanieastravovanie.stuba.sk/en/information-about-accommodation-for-students.
